COOPCAO – the Cooperative of Cocoa Farmers in the Organic

The COOPCAO is a co-operative singular (which is constituted by a minimum number of 20 individuals or entities located in the Pacajá PA), which carries out the marketing of the collective, of the cocoa.

Your Business Plan is aimed at the implementation of the processing line of the babassu palm, with a focus on the production of activated carbon.

In the context of the expansion COOPCAO, there is a new production process, the introduction of the line of the processing of the babassu palm, with a focus on the production of activated carbon. In this way, you can add a value to all the co-products of the babassu palm, in order to assess the costs of production, and thereby to raise a higher-margin products, and the most profitable. Here, the focus is on the product, babassu oil, and of the greatest interest to trade. To facilitate the sale of co-products, which previously had no relevance to the company's total revenues, and the oil remains with the highest profit margin, which has boosted the profitability of the company.

CEPOTX (The cooperative centre for the Production forms part of the Trans-amazon and the Xingu)

The CEPOTX is a co-operative center of organic farming, which is located in the Altamira-PA), who is in charge of the marketing collective, almonds and cocoa, organic cooperatives are unique and processing of cocoa butter.

The costs and prices of every products that has been able to carry out a cost-benefit analysis, and the relevance of the product. It should be noted that the most cost-effective and more relevant to the era in the university's export and processing of the cocoa butter seemed to be the least possible.

Your business plan is aimed at the implementation of a processing line for the cocoa powder, and today, a by-product of waste, and it gives a lot of potential revenue for the company.

In the context of the expansion CEPOTX, there is a new manufacturing process. For the complete processing of the kernel of the cocoa, in the form of the aggregate amount of all of your co-products, if you have a need for a refinement of the production line, which has been done by improving the production capacity from the receipt of raw material to the final product, as well as the purchase of the machinery that is needed (mesh sieve, circular, crusher and mill, crusher. The use of a by-product torta de cacao allows you to the apportionment of the costs of production of the final product (butter). There is a reduction in the cost of production, and with a greater scope – higher cost-efficiency.

The arrangement of the fixed costs and a 10% increase in the price of the kernel, of course, the yield has fallen compared to the previous scenario, but the return of the cocoa powder was a bit making it the most viable along with the butter.

It is concluded that, through the work carried out by the Mandū for Social Innovation, in partnership with the GIZ (German Agency for Development Cooperation), both fresh and Symrise, with all 3 of the cooperatives are mentioned in the course of the 6 months of the project, it was possible to achieve the goal of providing assistance to the cooperatives, the diversification of their production, as well as how it has contributed to the increase in the cost-effectiveness of the same.
